Azma Dar

Azma grew up in London and has a background in English, Classics and History of Art. She is a novelist who has also written for the theatre, radio and screen, and worked on community projects. Her work has been performed in venues such Soho Theatre, Birmingham Rep and the Edinburgh Festival, and on BBC Radio.
 
Azma is a winner of the New Ventures Award for Fiction and the New Perspectives Long Play Competition. She received support from the BFI  Early Development Fund in 2022 to work on her first feature film.​
