Becky Rhush

Becky grew up in Texas, a dedicated tomboy, playing baseball and hiking the canyons. She knew as a child she wanted to be a novelist, but thought she couldn't because writers were 'really smart and wore glasses'. She did end up needing the glasses so, one step closer, decided to go for it!

In high school she became obsessed with history and true crime, especially where the two came together. In college she immersed herself in theatere, music, and creative writing. She also started a riot grrrl band (it was the 90's, which made it near mandatory).

After college, she became licensed in criminal investigation, trained as an MMA cage-fighter, and turned into a devoted cat mom to two blind kitties and a rescue dog ... who thinks she's a cat.

Becky’s favourite authors are Sarah Waters and Gillian Flynn. She enjoys writing historical fiction with a feminist slant that dabbles in grey morality. When Becky isn't writing she enjoys visiting historical sites, listening to true crime podcasts, and going to a good scary movie.
