Elliot Worsell

Agent: Broo Doherty

Born in Aldershot but now based in London, Elliot Worsell has been writing about combat sports since the age of 17 and is the senior writer at Boxing News, the world’s longest-running boxing magazine.

Over the years his words have also appeared in The Ring, UFC Magazine, and Fighters Only, as well as the Huffington Post, for whom he penned a regular UFC column, GQ and Shortlist. In addition, he has worked as publicist for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), two boxing promoters, and two former world heavyweight champions.

This access and insight spawned a couple of boxing books, with Dog Rounds, an account of some of the sport’s ring tragedies, shortlisted for ‘General Outstanding Sports Writing’ at the 2018 British Sports Book Awards.

He is now turning his hand to fiction, having spent his teenage years and early twenties writing and abandoning bad novels, short stories and screenplays as practice.

His favourite authors are Richard Yates and James Baldwin.
