Fiona Mountain
Agent: Broo Doherty
Before turning to historical fiction, Yorkshire-born Fiona Mountain spent 10 years at the BBC in the Radio 1 Press Office, writing about rock, pop and dance music, hanging out backstage at gigs and festivals and travelling the beaches of Britain with the Radio 1 summer roadshow.
She moved to the Cotswolds to write novels and renovate a seventeenth century house with musician husband Tim Mountain and produced three sons, one daughter and five books: Isabella, the love story of the Mutiny on the Bounty, set in the lake district, Lady of the Butterflies, Cavalier Queen and a series featuring genealogist Natasha Blake.
She returned to this combination of history, romance and mystery with her novel Died For Love.
Fiona now lives in the medieval market town of Northleach, home to a fascinating 18th century House of Correction and the ancient Cathedral of the Cotswolds.
