Frances White

Frances is a fantasy writer originally from Leicester, now living in Nottingham. She attended Royal Holloway University of London, graduating with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, and has worked as a writer for various history publications.

Her fantasy skews on the dark side, but always with a beating emotional core. Her favourite things to write include: hard characters who are secretly soft, soft characters who are secretly tough, folklore and real world history colliding, and absolutely anything about revolutions. She is an advocate for fat positivity and queer representation in fiction.

When she’s not writing, Frances makes costumes to wear at conventions across the globe, and she has represented the UK at the World Cosplay Summit in Japan. She also loves to perform on stage, with a soft spot for musicals (more singing, less dancing) and Shakespeare.
