A fictionalised take on Second World War hero Nancy Wake.

Follow Australian-born Wake as she trains with the Special Operations Executive in Britain after the capture of her French husband by the Gestapo. She parachutes back into France to work with the Resistance, where she has a cat-and-mouse hunt with the Gestapo officer who took her husband.

At her height, the remarkable Wake led 7,000 fighters and had a bounty of five million Francs on her head.

Selected Praise

A proper page-turning thriller, remarkably based on the true story of one of the Second World War’s truly great heroines.
— Ben Fergusson
What a story... This is more than a heart-stopping and exciting adventure thriller: Nancy Wake is a heroine for our times, as well as for hers. The most extraordinary thing of all is that in its essentials, the story is true.
— Andrew Taylor
The White Mouse is a Resistance heroine of legendary courage, daring and cleverness. Imogen Kealey conjures her rebellious, passionate character with conviction, insight and gritty detail.
— Amanda Craig
