Constable bags three thrillers from M.W. Craven
Constable Crime has negotiated a new deal for three more titles written by bestselling author MW Craven.
Gina Luck, brand publisher at PCR Fiction, acquired the novels for a “significant” six-figure sum from David Headley. It includes a new Poe and Bradshaw novel, the third Ben Koenig adventure and an additional standalone thriller.
Luck said: “We are delighted to have secured this deal with one of the most exciting and original voices in crime fiction. Twisted, bloody yet darkly funny, MW Craven has a unique voice that a growing legion of fans is discovering. We have big plans to introduce his fantastic books to even more new readers over the coming years.”
Craven said: “I am thrilled to have agreed another three-book deal with Constable. The journey that started in 2018 with Krystyna Green taking a chance on The Puppet Show has been incredibly exciting and the team at Constable, who have grown the series exponentially, are second to none. I really can’t imagine a better fit.”
Headley said: “I’m thrilled that we’ve agreed this significant new deal, and Constable will continue publishing Mike’s future novels. Mike is a standout voice in crime fiction, and I know he has an exciting future with the talented and dynamic Constable team.”
Craven is a Sunday Times bestseller and a recipient of the 2019 Crime Writers’ Association Gold Dagger, the 2022 Ian Fleming Steel Dagger and the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year 2023.
