Jo Thomas

Jo Thomas worked for many years as a reporter and producer, first for BBC Radio 5, Radio Wales and BBC Radio 2.

In 2013 Jo won the RNA Katie Fforde Bursary. Her debut novel, The Oyster Catcher, was a runaway bestseller in ebook and was awarded the 2014 RNA Joan Hessayon Award and the 2014 Festival of Romance Best eBook Award. Jo’s books are about food and love, family and fun and she believes every story should have a happy ending.

Her books have been described as ‘a great big cwtch’: a great big hug in Welsh as well as ‘sunny and funny’. Jo loves to travel and research her books in and around the Mediterranean and European locations. But no matter in which country they are set, they are all about the food we gather, cook and put on the table for the ones we love.

Jo lives between the Vale of Glamorgan and Pembrokeshire with some of her three children, her husband, a Jack Russell called Dolly and her golden retriever, Henri.
