Sean Lusk

Sean Lusk is an award-winning short story writer and novelist, winner of the Manchester Fiction Prize and the Fish Short Story Prize. He has lived in Greece, Pakistan and Egypt, working variously as a gardener, speechwriter and diplomatic official. He now lives in the Scottish Highlands.

The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesley (Penguin, 2022), his debut novel, was shortlisted for the Scottish National Book awards debut of the year and longlisted for the Walter Scott Prize for historical fiction. His new novel A Woman of Opinion, about the life of the remarkable Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, was published in the UK by Doubleday/Penguin in July 2024 and described by The Sunday Times as ‘Witty, insightful and moving.’
